Evaluation

1) What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
Because my magazine is aimed at a wide range audience my magazine would be distributed by a conglomerate. Then they could advertise through the internet and radio so that all people get to hear about this new magazine.
2) Who would be the audience for your media product?
The audience for my media product would be young males and females aged around 16-21 and aimed at a wide range audience all around the UK. I aimed it at around this target audience because I felt it was the most relevant as I know what this type of age group would like and know how to catch their attention
3) How did you attract/address your audience?
I attracted the audience by using a house style of light blue. I used this colour because it’s a colour that both, males and females unlike pink which would be clearly aimed at girls. I used Gord on my front cover because like readers he is young and to give the impression of ‘boys want to be him and girls want to be with him’.
4) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
I have learnt how to use Photoshop and quark express to a reasonable standard. In photo shop I knew how to use the magic wand tool to take out big chunks of I picture then was able to use the magnetic lasso tool to get rid of the really difficult parts. In Quark I was able to draw a picture box and was able to import a picture that I had done on Photoshop.
5) Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
I have learnt how to make a magazine and how to aim it at a certain age group. I learnt how to use Photoshop and Quark to make my magazine better and more realistic and by doing something as simple as adding a drop shadow can really make something stand out. I also learnt that planning is very important and I would not be able to make a magazine without planning it all out first. I also learnt a lot on how I could improve by listening to feedback off other students and taking some of their advice.

more pictures !

The 2 pictures with 3 people in would be appropriate for a main cover images as there is no cluttered backgrounds and is jus a brick wall however the rest of them have cluttered backgrounds and would not be appropriate for a front cover image.
The attention is on the centre person and clearly shows that they are the lead singer.
There is enough room on all of these photos for a masthead.
None of the photos have high angle shots and all of the people are looking at the camara.

Pictures !

All of these pictures would be good for a front cover image.
The backgrounds are not cluttered. there jus brick walls or one which is a window.
They are all medium close ups on a single person which makes it ideal for a front cover image.
There is room above all of them in which i would be able to put a matshead on.
There are no high angle shots.
Finally, on all of these shots the person is looking at the camara
